Thanksgiving

In the spirit of the holiday, I wanted to share what I am thankful for this year.

— I am thankful for my health, especially as I watch a close friend deal with cancer.

— I am thankful for my marriage, which has its ups and downs, but still serves as my backbone after 19 years.

— I am thankful for my children, and the times when I see the life lessons I’ve tried to drum into them ad nauseum over the years shine through.

— I am thankful that my parents are a source of support and love, and are active in our lives and the lives of my children.

— I am thankful for the Child and Adolescent Bipolar Foundation, without which we would still be in the dark about Tim’s illness, suffering alone, wondering what to do and where to get help.

— I am thankful for my job, even if I do have to work over the holiday weekend 🙂

— I am thankful for my dogs, who amuse me, comfort me, and serve as a source of companionship when I feel most alone.

— I am thankful for my friends, the true friends that have been through us through all of our trials and tribulations, carrying the torch for me when I don’t have the strength to carry it myself.

— I am thankful for the Schofields and their inspiration, friendship and support.

— I am thankful for ODTC, their excellent care and education of Tim, and their support in securing his admission through the State.

— I am thankful for each of you who share your feedback, wishes, stories, and ideas with me.

May the holiday be restful and enjoyable for you and your families as well.
